Warmwind Launches International Rollout of Autonomous AI Workers
German AI Startup Automates Recurring Digital Workflows – Reaching ~90,000 Registrations and €450,000 ARR Prior to Public Launch
Jena, Germany – August 26, 2026 – Following three years of development and a multi-month closed beta, Jena-based AI startup Warmwind today officially launches the international rollout of its autonomous AI workers. Each worker operates on a dedicated, isolated cloud computer, interacting visually with software using a virtual mouse and keyboard – just as a human operator would. This approach enables organizations to automate repetitive digital workflows without requiring custom API integrations.
Once configured within a defined workflow, AI workers execute tasks independently, repeat them as scheduled, and continue operating even when the user is offline. Multiple workers can run in parallel, allowing companies to significantly expand process capacity without modifying their existing software infrastructure. R&D and leadership are based in Jena, while the underlying customer infrastructure is hosted in Falkenstein, Germany.

Since launching its closed beta in July 2025, pre-launch registrations grew from 12,000 to nearly 90,000 across more than 30 countries, with approximately 40% of demand originating from the United States and 40% from the European Union. Hundreds of users were activated on the platform during the beta phase. In the two weeks leading up to launch, Warmwind reached approximately €450,000 in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) from its initial paying customers.
Warmwind workers already process thousands of daily tasks, automating several thousand hours of repetitive screen work. Usage costs currently average between €1.00 and €1.50 per hour of active execution, depending on task complexity and the AI model selected. Key use cases include invoice processing, customer support, ERP data management, portal monitoring, and lead generation.

It’s about taking the burden of repetitive screen tasks off human teams, speeding up workflows, and unlocking capacity. We are focused on making AI-driven automation accessible and economically scalable.”
In parallel with its public launch, Warmwind is conducting live operational deployments with mid-sized companies and DAX-listed corporations, including Ad-hoc Gruppe.
To support platform growth, Warmwind has entered into a strategic partnership with Hetzner. Alongside infrastructure provisioning, the collaboration includes a multi-million-euro investment, laying the foundation to scale the public launch to up to 10,000 paying users.
The partnership marks an important step in Warmwind’s transition from a capacity-limited beta environment to large-scale production. As adoption grows, the infrastructure is designed to support increasing numbers of AI workers running workflows in parallel, including larger enterprise deployments. Each customer environment runs in a dedicated, isolated cloud instance in Germany, with technical separation between customer environments.
This strategic investment follows Warmwind’s previously closed €1.5 million Seed round. Existing investors and financial partners include bm|t Beteiligungsmanagement Thüringen, BRT Ventures, Nordberg Ventures, and Hetzner. Warmwind currently employs 15 people in Jena. The core technology is patented in Europe and the U.S., with international patent filings expanding into additional global markets.
The public rollout is accompanied by a new launch video available on YouTube and across official social channels, building on an initial beta video that generated over 310,000 views.
